New 2009 Mac Pro now certified compatible with Pro Tools HD
    2009 Mac Pro

Digi announced this afternoon that they have completed testing the new 2009 (Nehalem) Apple Mac Pro, and that it is compatible with the current version of Pro Tools HD 8. It appears that there is no need to even use any software patch or "CS" release version of the software, which means that a new HD system and Mac Pro should work great together out of the box, without any tedious mucking around with downloading updates.

We have completed the first phase of our testing and are pleased to announce that Pro Tools HD is compatible with the new Apple Mac Pro (Nehalem processor). - Source Digidesign.com
