It is a little difficult to troubleshoot through a forum. I would try some of the standard things first. Rather than go into detail about how to do them, I would suggest going to the digidesign site and downloading their "Tech Support Utility" it will do most of the standard repairs.

Also if the problem started occurring after you installed RAM, there is obviously a chance that there is something wrong there. Have you tried removing the RAM and seeing if the problem still remains?

have you tried trashing your preferences?? Thats a good starting point for issues such as this.

BTW, that Tech Support Utility will trash prefs etc.

Also, you may need to trash the databases for your drives, but I think the TSU does this too.

Thanks Fellas... I went back and trashed the preferences like you suggested.. and it worked!

I'm back to recording now.... I still get the H/W Buffer error but it's not that much of problem right now.
