recent convert and having some problems 3 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 0
Hi, I have just bought and installed M-Powered Pro-tools 7.4 on my recently purchased desktop (Windows Vista core 2 duo processor) and although I have successfully recorded some audio tracks (drums, guitar and vocals) i can't for the life of me...seem to get any sound out of midi....I have tried and tried all I can think of.

I am using a yamaha PSR-300 keyboard (pretty old - but always works) as a controller going into M-audio 2496 card (never had a problem before and have used a few music programmes). I also have a Blackbox which I usxe for guitars etc. and goes in via usb.

When trying to set up midi it offers blackbox and GS outputs as options but won't offer AP Midi (only offers this in the midi studio setup inputs and outputs) but it doesn't appear in the mixer tab for the track.

I have just ordered a new midi usb cable which (and I'm not sure) may solve the issue...but anyway...please help...arghhh......
