Hi All,
I need a little help with my Pro Tools. First of I am dj that is trying my hand with Pro Tools and I am really excited with Pro Tools. So far I have must say that Pro Tools is an amazing application that has a lot of possibilities, now on to my issue.
What I am attempting to do is beat mix/match with Pro Tools. I currently have the Pitch-n-Time Pro plug-in(PnT) to aid with the beat mix/matching. What I am confused with is when setting up my session for the mix. Pro Tools provides a tempo ruler that can be set to the match the tempo of each track, i.e. 130 bpm, etc,. When I have the collective tracks I want to use is it better to import them as a session? If so, when importing is it better to uncheck the import the tempo info for each track? Or is it a better idea to import them as an audio track, after being bounced to disk, and set the an overall tempo and use PnT to mix the tracks together? Any pointers with setting the session for the mix would be a great help.
Thanks in advance.
