First I'd like to say hi to all and say how glad I am to have found this site. I just recently bought a firewire solo and pro tools 101 and have been falling in love with PT demo version. But all of a sudden when I got to the projects in the book PT decided to not launch anymore. I'm runing on windows xp sp2 with 4gigs (3.25 GB in 32bit) of ram and an amd athlon 64 x2 dual core 3.21Hz. It worked fine for about three weeks then BAM won't load, but it shows up in the taks manager. Please any advice would be great I'm a newb with PT and I was loving it but if this is a known issue then I'm not sure I want to buy the full blown software after buying the firewire and the book I've checked the forum and can't seem to find any info but I'm still look'n. thanx again for any advice.

Maybe its a windows problem - try doing a system restore back to the date the software worked.
