Sampson CO3U Mic 10 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Hey ya'll... I want to do something I can't figure out. I LOVE this Sampson USB mic and use it in Garageband all the time. I want to play around with it in Pro Tools, but as we all know, it is not possible to get input from a USB port (that I can figure out anyways), since it has to be PT input device - I use an NRV10. I found the Snake Cable - USB to female XLR -- opposite what I need. Can I get an adapter, XLR male to male and use this with that Snake cable to the XLR input on the NRV? Anyone know of any problems with this? Thank you!

I looked at Samson's product page for the C01U. It is kind of surprising it doesn't have an analog output since it is based on the C01. So, it requires a USB host and I have only seen computers implement USB hosting. I don't think there is a way to use that microphone with Pro Tools, unfortunately.

Thank you for checking into it. When I have an extra 50 bucks laying around, i may try the snake cable with male to male adapter and see if it'll work...
