hardware/latency probs on macpro 10 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
I have a macbook pro 3.1 and am running protools with mbox2. When i am working with just one track with no plugins I keep getting a popup saying that i need to lower my harware buffersize or reduce plugins even though im not using any. I dont understnd why im getting this popup. I bought the best Macbook I could get so i wouldnt have this kind of problem. Anyone know what my optimal settings should be?

What are your buffer settings set to? How much memory do you have?

My buffer is at 1024 sometimes but I change it all the time because i keep getting the pop up. I have 2 gigs of memory on the mac and 120 gigs on an external hard drive which i store all my audio projects. Do i need to make settings adjustments on my Mac outside of my Pro Tools settings?
