Convert Session to Different Sample Rate 4 Months ago Karma: 0
Hello everyone. I have a quick question, and I think a simple one.

I have a 30fps 48khz OMF and I would like to convert it to a at 47.952 sample rate to apply a speed change? Is PT capable of converting to this sample rate?

I believe the option to do so is when you "Save Session Copy As". Is that accurate.

Any help would be appreciated!

you're talking about a pull down rate of -0.1%...done when converting your frame rate to 29.97

Open up your session setup window and change the pull up/pull down amount to -0.1%

Thanks for the reply!

I do want a pulldown rate of .1% but I am trying to avoid an actual pulldown. My OMF is mainly 30fps audio, but there are also a few 24fps clips in there as well. So... if I apply a speed change to the entire OMF - the new sample rate (47.952) will sync with my 23.98 video.

I could be wrong since I am a picture editor trying my hardest to deliver things to my sound house accurately. They claim, that a sample rate conversion to 47.952 is not possible. And... I have a hard time believing that Pro Tools is incapable of doing that. So I just wanted to confirm their information.

Thanks!
