Dual OS? 3 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 0
Is it possible, i wonder, instead of using an external drive via firewire, partition a PC using XP AND Vista, dedicating the Vista side to Pro Tools?
I've checked into the compatibility and Vista business 32bit will work okay with the PT LE7.4 mbox, and my PC is 500Gb w/2.33ghz intel dual core2 processor, so it's got plenty of punch.

Anybody got any thoughts? and stuff I haven't thought of?

If it will work this route would be a lot cheaper for a good many folks.

I don't see why not via my limited PC knowledge, you'd just have to choose the version of windows to boot from when you turn it on.

yeah, that's the only drawback, but I'm willing to put up with that inconvenience
I'll let you know if it works out
