Hey everyone,

Im a total noob and ive got a bit of a problem.

Me and 2 of my friends who i must say are far more knowledgeable (is that a word?) than me in the feild of audio technology and protools in general, are planning on buying protools/m-box and a system in which to run it on.

Which is great since we will eventually be able to make our own music and publish in a manner we see fit, the only problem is that we arent exactly rolling in it.

I've been looking around and came to the conslusion that buying a macbook pro and Mbox 2 Pro would be a great solution for us except its going to cost in reality over £2000.

Im just looking for advice on this issue before making any further decisions. Hopefully someone with better experience would be able to provide me with some info towards making possible a better and less expensive choice.
