volume increase? 4 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 0  
i'm running protools on my mac laptop and when i record using my mbox mini the mic vocals are extremely low to the point where the beat shades the vocals. how do i go about raising the volume to its peak? i tried system preferences but that did work. any other ideas?

Next time you should record the vocal hotter to start with. You can use the Audio Suite plug-ins "Gain" (or alternatively Normalize), have it search for peaks and process accordingly. However, you will increase the background noise at the same time, so you may not be too pleased with the result if your record level was really low.
