Newbie here....sorry in advance pro tool guru's 4 Months ago Karma: 0
Hello all,

First let me start by saying to the Mods..thanks for creating this forum..I know I will gain alot from here.

Ok. As i said Im a newbie to pro tools and i mean that in every sense. I know NOTHING about it, I love music and i wanted some part to do with it. I have a three part question:

1) Im trying to manage all of the different sounds that came with my unit, all i reall want to do is make beats. Where can i find drum beats ie..808,snar,crash to import into my unit.

2) I have a mpc 1000. Can anyone please explain how would i hook this up to my unit so i can use the sounds off of it onto pro tools? which inputs and outs do i use..things like that.

3) And im still trying to make myself understand that paying $700 for a 3 to 5 day course of pro tools is worth it, what would be the next best thing DVD wise to atleast start with so I can graps the concept of pro tools? Is that Paul Grary dvd worth a try?

Im trying to finish my studio now, and i really want to have a feel of the equipment before hand.

The equipment i has so far is:

Digi 003 factory (LE?)
Mpc 1000

My OS is:
iMac leapard 10.5.4
2gig's

Thnks again in advance.
