Wow. Hi Paul!
I have a Digi002 Rack and that's it. I'd like to take my ProTools LE sessions and come up with an AC3 file. Is there a way to do this with the new MIX 51 software as opposed to using the bigger HD only stuff?
Thanks!
Faith
Hi Faith. Mix 51 is a surround panning plug-in for LE so you can definitely create a 5.1 mix. After bouncing your 5.1 mix to disk, you are ready to encode the mix as an AC3 file. You need to use Dolby Digital encoding software to make the AC3 file. There are various options, but SoundCode For Dolby Digital is the only one that integrates into Pro Tools as a plug-in. After you encode the AC3 file, it is best to test it using the SoundCode Dolby Digital Decoder. Once you have verified the AC3 file decodes correctly, you can be confident it is ready to be put on a DVD for people to enjoy!
