Bounce To Disk!!! 4 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Hi
Guys, i would like to know if there is any way that i may export audio (bounce to disk)
but not real time, as its too time consuming as in cubase we have a option for both real time and non real time.

so is there any way in which i may get the same, however i dont want to lose the effects and all that tweaking i have done with the mixer.

Please Advice
Thanks

Pro Tools ONLY does real-time bounce-to-disk.

You can export audio but it won't take your fx. The only way to do that it to bounce it down like C mentioned or, bus the output to a fresh audio track and record it down that way. At least then you can punch record in any changes.

Anyway, to export audio consolidate the regions by hitting alt - shift - 3 (number pad). Then hit apple - shift - k to export the audio.

If I have a low-budget project that will require a long bounce (e.g. a live show) I will often choose to do the project in DP rather than in Pro Tools. The bounce issue is one of the only reasons I would choose to do an audio project in anything other than PT. However, all the systems that do non-real-time bounces have a variable bounce, and they take longer the more stuff you have going on. So if you have a bunch of plug-ins and processing going on it can be real-time (or near it) on those systems as well.

This is not something that will change in the near future, unless digi is currently starting from scratch. Their entire architecture is based around a real-time system (both TDM and RTAS).

Dude, this is so lame. digi guys should impliment export option too. sometimes it gets too time consuming and frustrating.
i do understand bounce to disk real time is a good feature but users should have an option for non real time too.

i hope digi corrects this issues....
