I'm recording a bass track through PT-M powered using a M-Powered 401 device. All meters show a good signal and i can monitor the track through the headphones. But when i playback the track the bass doesn't record, or show digital information on the track in the edit window. I know this is something simple but can't figure this out. How can you monitor the signal in all the appropriate windows and it not record the information? Plz help this nub. Thx

When you say "all meters show a good signal", are you referring to the meters on your 410? Or do you mean the meters inside Pro Tools?

The meters on the 410, the 410 software control panel, and the Instrument track I'm recording on all show good signals while recording. yet nothing records on the track on playback. Ive not had this problem while using plug-ins to record with. Again, thanks for the help

Ahh.. there's the issue!

You are using an Instrument track (which is meant for Virtual Instruments), when you should be using an Audio Track to record actual audio.
