Help? 1 Month, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Windows millenium Digi001 le5.01 or5.02 I forget

What is the easiest way to do a save as while only saving all automation and only the tracks and audiofiles I want to bring to the new session. That is keyboard and click track, no vocals etc. I'm new here so sorry if I'm not playing by the rules or if I'm in the wrong forum.

If you are looking to pick and choose what tracks you want for your new session, I would approach it from the other direction.

Rather than trying to do a Save As of any type, I would create my new session, and then use File: Import Session Data to choose only the tracks I want brought in. Much easier!

I don't think that import session data was available in v5. But you could do a save as and then delete what you don't want from the newly saved session.

Thank you. Highlighting and then pushing delete only clears the audio file is that right? I don't have to worry I'm going to delete it? Is there any way I'm going to accidentally delete it? Thank you again. lg

Highlighting and deleting from a playlist in the edit window, only removes it from the timeline, not the session. To permanently delete a file you have to do that from the Region List.
