Get list of all installed plug-in versions? 1 Month, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Is there an easy way to get a list of all installed plug-ins? Would make it alot easier when upgrading PT versions and having to sanity check what you have against the compatibility list.

None that I am aware of....

short of keeping your own inventory list (like in a spreadsheet or database)

If you download the tech support utility from digidesign, there is a component that will save a text file with all your plug-ins and their versions listed.

Thanks for the info.

I downloaded the utility from Digidesign, but it doesn't work properly with Leopard. I have modified it so it returns the plug-in versions and attached it to this message.

If anyone else uses Leopard and notices when you run the versions report its empty, this will fix that.

Sorry, its working now. Not sure why it wasn't before, I had to link it to my own server.

In any case, yes I am a programmer, but honestly there was not much needing to be done to it, it just wasn't compatible with leopard and I had to change a few things. I am trying to track down a few things with my PT system and really needed all the version numbers to compare, and was hopeful when downloading the Tech Support Utility, but bummed when I found out it doesn't work under Leopard (at least it doesn't work under 10.5.5 for sure, that's what I run, and yes I know thats not officially supported yet).
